I brought my 6 year old son to Jay Peak for the first time for February vacation. Chris, John and maple welcomed us in with open arms! It was everything we could possibly want and more! I was looking to find a place that "felt like home" and the Woodshed lodge far exceeded it! The meals were fantastic! Every morning we woke up to be serviced a delicious, made to order meal. We decided to have the dinner for one of the nights we stayed and loved all of it, including my picky six year old! The room was roomy and exactly what we needed. It was warm, welcoming and comfortable! Incredible customer service! My son lost his glove on the way out of town and it wasn't realized until we got home, 4 hours away. I emailed to ask if it was there and it was. They mailed it out to me, no problem! They even included a little note! Next Jay Peak vacation will be spent lodging at the Woodshed, that is for certain!!
Rustic and comfortable. Lots of space to relax with hot tub and then warm by the wood stove. We were on motorcycles and this place was a welcomed surprise. Great hosts and a charming dog named Maple. Love the breakfast choices. A fancy place? No, but very very comfortable and cozy. We will be back again.

I recently stayed here for some hiking in the area on the Long Trail. The Lodge was convenient to the trails, the breakfasts were delicious and made to order, and the hosts were very congenial and friendly. The rooms are not elegant but are clean and comfortable. Good value.
My two boys and I have been here several times. John, Chris and Maple and nothing short of amazing. They are so welcoming and will bend over backwards to help. The lodge is not luxury by any means, but honestly it's EXACTLY what we like. A homey feel, rustic nature, great prices and wonderful people (and dog). Love you guys!
